Drinko de Mayo Photo Contest
Crawl In Boston is happy to announce our very first Drinko de Mayo Photo Contest.
We want to keep it as simple as possible so here how it goes:
1. Take a photo during the Drinko de Mayo Crawl on Saturday.
2. Add hash tag with both #crawlinboston AND #drinkodemayo if posting to Instagram or Twitter. Or add the photo to our Facebook Page.
This will be the easiest way for us to track your photos.
We will select 3 different winners. Each winner will receive a pair of tickets to Red, White and Brew in July, the Neon Crawl in September and the Halloween Crawl in October. 6 total tickets for each winner. And even if you can’t make them all you can transfer into a friend’s name.
The pictures can be of anything during the crawl. We want you to be spontaneous, original and really show us what the Crawl In Boston experience means to you.
Winners will be chosen by our Crawl In Boston staff and alerted the week after Drinko de Mayo. Winners’ pictures will be featured on our website.
You always do an awesome job at posting pictures and we know the competition will be fierce. We look forward to what you bring us this time. Just about a week to go. Starting thinking of some ideas!

Froston Marathon this Saturday.

The Froston Marathon Bar Crawl is this Saturday. We’re donating koozies for this event as
proceeds are going towards the One Fund. More details below.
What could be more fun than dressing up and drinking with a bunch of your friends? Well, raising money for a good cause along the way!
Please join Frost Ice Bar and Neighboring Bars in raising money for the One Fund on April 19th!
Bacardi is the official liquor sponsor and will be running liquor promotions during the crawl. Participating Bars will include: Central Wharf, Sterling’s, The Black Rose, Mija, Warhouse Bar & Grille, Battery Park, Coogans, Stadium, and more! These bars will offer exclusive deals to Froston Marathon participants.
Uber will also be there to offer free rides home to participants with a special offer code!
Raffles and prizes on the day! All raffle proceeds will be donated to The One Fund.
Raffle items include donations from The New England Aquarium, Blue Man Group, Boston Harbor Cruises, Improv Asylum, Boston Duck Tours, Kings Boston, Citi Performing Arts Center, Union Oyster house…and many more!
A fund, Heroes of Beacon Street Fire, has been set up to assist the families of the two heroes who lost their lives. The funds raised here will be to assist the injured who remain in the hospital. Some have a very long recovery ahead. Drinko de Mayo is 2.5 weeks away. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to this important and amazing fund raiser. We aim to crush their $5,000 goal.

Margarita Monday – Kiwi
This week I went with Kiwi. Previous margaritas were avocado and chocolate
Ingredients
Tequila…as much as you can handle
1 1/2 cups of sliced kiwis
2 tbsp lime juice
3 tbsp sugar
1 cup ice

Margarita Monday – Chocolate
With Drinko de Mayo coming up, we’re working on margaritas at home. Last week we tried an avocado one. This week we’re going with chocolate.
Below is the recipe I used to make around 3 to 4 drinks
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup, plus more for the glasses
- 1 cup tequila
- 1/2 cup chocolate flavor liquor
- 1/3 cup Triple Sec
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Splash of lime juice
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- ice

Heroes of Beacon Street Fire Fund
On March 26th, two Boston Fire Fighters lost their lives when they fought a 9 alarm fire at 298 Beacon Street in Boston, MA. Firefighter Mike Kennedy and Lt. Ed Walsh from Engine 33/Ladder 15 died. FF Kennedy had served in the Marine Corps and Lt. Walsh has three children under the age of 10. More than a dozen other first responders were injured.

Margarita Monday – Avocado
Drinko de Mayo is our next official crawl. So I’ve got margaritas on my mind.
I took a try at making an avocado margarita. What could go wrong with a mix of tequila and omega-3 fatty acids?
Below is the recipe I used to make around 4 drinks
– 2 cups crushed ice
– 6 oz. tequila
– 4 avocados, peeled, sliced, and pitted
– 2 oz. triple sec
– 5 oz. lime juice
– salt on your glass (optional)
It came out pretty well. I used way more avacodo than the original recipe called for so it was nice and thick.

Registration Info for Pirate Crawl this Saturday
Ahoy me hearties!
Pirate Crawl / Party Cruise tickets here. Under 20 total tickets remain. 
The Pirate Pub Crawl and Party Cruise is Saturday (June 8th)!We hope you are ready to raise the Jolly Roger and have a swashbucklin’ good time!
Here are some questions that we have been receiving and some general info to prepare you for the crawl/cruise:
How do I get my wristband(s)?
There will be a will call at Kitty O’Shea’s (131 State St.) from 12:00 – 1:30. There will also be a will call set up at the harbor (200 Seaport) starting at 1:00 pm.
In order to receive a wristband, you need a government issued id (driver’s license or passport) – without a government id, you cannot receive your ticket!If you purchased more than one ticket, your id will get you the number of tickets that you ordered.If you purchased a ticket for someone else, and you will not be in attendance, please let us know so we can switch the names in our system. ALSO PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE AN OUT OF STATE ID, BRING BACK UP IDENTIFICATION TO BOARD THE BOAT (credit card in your name, etc). This is the cruise company’s policy and they are very strict on whom they allow on board. We have no say on this issue.
Why do I need a wristband?
The wristband will get you on the boat for the party cruise. Additionally access to the bars along with a Pirate Crawl koozie and temporary tattoos.
Will the Crawl and Cruise happen rain or shine?
The crawl will happen rain or shine.As long as it is safe to be on the water, regardless of the weather, the cruise will also take place.The boat also has covered and enclosed decks, so you will be able to stay dry on the boat.In the unlikely event that the cruise is canceled, you will receive a refund.
What is the schedule?And what are the drink specials at each bar?
You will receive the full schedule and drink specials once you get your wristband. We have 7 bars along with the cruise. Each bar will have a $3 or less special except during the cruise.
The cruise will take place from 2:00 – 3:30 GO TO THE HARBOR FOR BOARDING EARLY – No shenanigans, no tomfoolery, no ballyhoo – You must be on the boat by 2!!!! You will receive a map upon getting your wristband, or you can follow your fellow pirates, or even take a cab or pedicab if you’re feeling lazy.
Any changes to the schedule will be posted both on the Facebook page and on www.CrawlinBoston.com
Please support the official bars along the crawl and do not wander off to other bars! Not only is it fun to crawl together, but some bars near the boat have actually told us they don’t want to be a part of the crawl. We want to respect their wishes while also keeping our thirsty business with those who actually want it! Trust us, we wish we could enjoy the bars in the Seaport as well.
Should I wear a costume?
Absolutely.What fun is a PIRATE crawl if you aren’t dressed as a PIRATE? That being said, you can go as big or as small as you want.
