Project Bread Benefit Night at Down the Road – 7/12

Down The Road Beer Co. is throwing a benefit night for Project Bread and launching a limited-release new brew, Project Bread Banana Bread Ale!
30% of taproom sales from the evening as well as 20% of sales from the new Banana Bread Ale – made with locally-baked bread donated by Signature Breads! – will be donated to Summer Eats, a program supported by Project Bread that provides free meals to kids and teens across Massachusetts during summer vacation. Oath Pizza will also be donating 10% of their sales from the event!
Summer is the best time to be a kid, but over summer vacation, children across the state who rely on school meals often don’t know where their breakfast or lunch will come from. Here’s a link to the Facebook event.

Pirate Crawl Check In Info
Hello Pirate Crawl Participants,
Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday. If you have friends still looking to join, we still have a few spaces left.
Your ticket will get you entry into the bars, Admission onto Boat Cruise, Pirate Flag, Koozie, Temporary Pirate Tattoo, Coaster, Limbo Contest and Photo Booth.
Don’t miss out. Arrgggghhhhh!
We have a few points of order to help make the day as smooth as possible:
Check In takes place at the following:
11:15 – 12:15 – Warehouse – 40 Broad Street
The Warehouse is providing 20% off brunch from 11:00 – 12:00 for anyone signed up for the crawl.
12:30 – 1:00 – Freedom Boat at 60 Rowes Wharf – GATE C

You will need to bring either a printed Eventbrite ticket or show the app on your phone. If you don’t have a paper ticket or the phone app, you can use your ID to pick up your ticket. Please be ready when you get to the top of the line. We’ll be checking in hundreds of crawlers and nobody wants to be stuck behind the person who doesn’t have any of their stuff ready. Only the ticket buyer needs to be present. If multiple tickets were bought, you’ll get all your goodies at once and you can pass on the extras to your friends.
Boarding is 12:30 – 1:00 sharp. The boat leaves at 1:00. The company has their own schedule so we can’t hold back for anything. We leave then. No exceptions. Don’t be late. Allow yourself extra time to arrive.
Bar schedule:
We have bars in the Faneuil Hall/Financial District area planned. There is another big crawl from another group that day and we’re planning to visit places not associated with their schedule.
You will receive the entire schedule when you register. All the bars will be in the Faneuil Hall and Financial District areas. We are not releasing the schedule prior to the crawl, as we want to keep this event as exclusive as possible for your own comfort. Please note, the bars have the right to refuse entry to anyone due to bar capacity or personal incapacity. Also, you will need to show a valid license or ID to gain entry to each of the bars AND the boat. This is their policy. We have no say in this.
CASH IS KING
I know that bringing your card might be easy. But when tons of people are trying to order drinks, it takes a lot more time to open and close a tab than to pay with cash. Plus you’d be surprised about how many people forget to close their tabs at the end of the night and leave for home without their credit cards. There are multiple ATMs around Faneuil Hall…check one out. Also, remember to tip your bartenders!
Remember to drink responsibly and use public transportation. Don’t drink and drive!

Burnin’ by Ray pop up

We certainly know how to party of Crawl in Boston, but we also believe in moderation, so we also do some healthy things too! We recently went to the Burnin’ by Ray popup in the Seaport. The classes are a mix of weights and motor-less cardio. You switch between stations and do 40 seconds of cardio, 20 seconds of rest (or really, to get to the weights) and 40 seconds of a weight exercise. You do each of these stations four times before moving to the next cardio machine/move, for twelve rounds. You can go at your own pace, but the instructors are there to motivate you and help with your form on the weighted moves. In the popup, they have treadmills, air bikes, and ski machines for cardio, but the original location in Belmont has lots of different kinds of machines.
They are offering four free classes at the popup, ahead of the actual studio space opening in August. The pop up space is a little bare bones for now, but it’s still a great way to try out the workout. We recommend checking it out!
