CRAWL TODAY!

Posted on Updated on

Hello Crawlers!

The Valentine’s Crawl is TODAY. I hope you’ve found your perfect Valentine’s outfit and are raring to crawl with us. I just have a few reminders/orders of business to ensure everything goes smoothly and everyone has a fantastic time.

1.) Holiday themed attire isn’t required but are highly encouraged. Please wear pink, red or black.

2.) You don’t need to show up to the first bar to join the crawl. We may run out of koozies (limited to 1,100) but you’re welcome to join at any point during the event.

We will have staff at each of the 12:30 and 2:30 bars. Things get a but crazy come mid-afternoon. Last year we had trouble getting into some of the bars. So we’ll be consolidating our effforts for the 4:30 and later bars. If you’d still like to register then, we’ll be all over facebook and twitter with our locations. We will be wearing shirts that read “BAR CRAWL STAFF” on front. We’ll also all be wearing red light up necklaces and pins. We’re hoping it’s going to be easy to spot us.

3.) PLEASE come with the exact amount that you would like to give for your donation. We know it may be a pain, but it really keeps things moving if we don’t have to find/make change.  And if we don’t have change, you’ll have to break your $20 yourself and come back through the line. If you haven’t, take a minute to look at the website for our charity: The Hattie B Cooper Community Center. It’s a great organization. As always, we thank our Crawlers for their extreme generosity!

4.) Thanks to our many, many dedicated crawlers, the turnouts have been huge. If we get the anticipated turnout like we did for Halloween and Christmas and the scheduled bar fills up, you can skip around the schedule.  For instance, Paddy O’s is on the schedule at 4:30, but they will be ready to welcome crawlers much earlier. The bars know we’re coming and will be prepared.  We just want to remind everyone to have a good time and be kind to the bar staff and your fellow crawlers. If you don’t get a chance to see us, you can always go to Hattie B Cooper Community Center. and make a donation there.

5.) Like I mentioned before, for updates check out Twitter or Facebook. We’ll be updating all day to let you know where we’re at.

6.) I’m going to say it again. PLEASE come with the exact amount you’d like to donate.

7.) It’s looking like snow so be extra careful

The SCHEDULE is here (as mentioned earlier, feel free to freelance and skip around as many bars may reach capacity early, you can always go back later)

In other news…please join us for Brahmin Social Sunday. We’re keeping the party going the next day.

And once again we’ve teamed up with Tenon Tours for their St. Patrick’s Day event on 3/10/12. Tickets on sale now.  Some bars close to selling out. Please select “Team Crawl In Boston”

Thanks, and hope to see you soon. Cheers!

People of all ages have gathered to join the bar crawls, and we’ve raised money  for local charities. We also spread the word about other similar events we’ve heard about, as well as new places and bar/restaurant specials. We’re bringing people together, one drink at a time for local charities

What is the Hattie B. Cooper Community Center?

The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center has served Greater Roxbury and surrounding neighborhoods for over 93 years, providing underserved children and their families vital educational services that facilitate growth and development, and creating groundwork for future successes.

What does this event cost?

We are asking for $5.00 to attend. Please keep in mind that proceeds of your donation supports The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center
Everyone who donates will be receiving:

*Crawl in Boston Beverage Koozie (LIMITED TO FIRST 1,100)

How Do I Sign Up?

We don’t have official registration. We only ask you RSVP on the Facebook event ASAP. This gives us a better idea on how many people are coming. We can better arrange our schedule so the bars have enough staff to accommodate you all. Also helps let us know how many koozies to order.

What to wear?

Please wear something red, pink or black to keep in the holiday spirit. If you want to dress as cupid, that’s more than encouraged.

What’s the schedule? TBA. Keep checking!

Halloween Crawl this Saturday

Posted on Updated on

Hello Crawlers! We’re excited to see you on Saturday at our 8th annual Halloween costume crawl.

As always, we’ll be collecting your $5 (or more!) donation. Exact change is always GREATLY appreciated and it keeps the line moving (and trust us, everyone else is also thinking, “I’m sure they have change for me” too). This is one of our biggest events of the year so please bring exact change.

Please remember that proceeds benefit Julie’s Family charity.  If you haven’t already, take a minute to check out our charity’s webpage:

We’ll be giving out wristbands, nametags as well as koozies (limited to the first 750). We ordered the koozies 3 weeks ago and had under 400 RSVP’s. At last look we have about 1,100.Please keep in mind that the bars WILL be crowded. We and the bars’ staff thank you in advance for your patience.

We will have staff during the first 30 minutes of each scheduled bar for registration.
The bars have been notified about the number of people attending so they will be ready if you decide to go early.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates. There’s a chance things
may be too busy for us to set up at certain bars so we also may skip around.

Our next crawl event will be on 12/3 for our 12 Bars of Xmas. Stayed tuned for
more details.
