Valentine’s Crawl Registration Info

Posted on Updated on

We can’t wait to see you on Saturday for the Valentine’s Crawl. We’re down to our last handful of tickets.

Our 2014 Staff Shirts
Our 2014 Staff Shirts

We have a few points of order to help make the day as smooth as possible:

Registration opens at 12:00 sharp and ends at 3:00.

You will need to bring either a printed Eventbrite ticket or show the app on your phone. If you don’t have a paper ticket or the phone app, you can use your ID to pick up your ticket.. Please be ready when you get to the top of the line. We’ll be checking in hundreds of you and nobody wants to be stuck behind the person who doesn’t have any of their stuff ready.

Registration will be by LAST NAME

“A – K” – Paddy O’s – 33 Union Street

“L – Z” – Kinsale – 2 Center Plaza

We will have about 20 total tickets available for day of sales for $30 which will include the $3 or less drink option at each bar, L.E.D. Flashing Silk Rose, Candy Necklace, Koozie, Drawstring Backpack, Heart Shaped Stress Ball, Mini Heart Noise Drum and Photo Booth. These are on a first come, first serve basis. EXACT CHANGE ONLY. They can be purchased at either of the scheduled registration bars.

Bar schedule:

You will receive the entire schedule when you register. We have 10 bars total. All the bars will be in the Faneuil Hall and Financial District areas. We are not releasing the schedule prior to the crawl to avoid crawl crashers (we’ve already seen the Facebook and Twitter posts). We want to keep this event as exclusive as possible for your own comfort. Please note, the bars have the right to refuse entry to anyone due to bar capacity or personal incapacity.

CASH IS KING

I know that bringing your card might be easy. But when tons of people are trying to order drinks, it takes a lot more time to open and close a tab than to pay with cash. Plus you’d be surprised about how many people forget to close their tabs at the end of the night and leave for home without their credit cards.

Remember to drink responsibly.mardigrashat

Valentine’s Crawl is TODAY! Snow is falling but not nearly enough to slow us down this time! See you soon!

We can’t wait to see you on Saturday! We have a few points of order:

Registration opens at 12:00 sharp and ends at 3:00. Our event staff will all be wearing the same shirt in case you haveIMG_4619 any questions.

You will need to show a photo ID matching the name on the ticket. If you purchased tickets for your friends, and the tickets are under your name, you will need to pick up their wristbands and paraphernalia. You will need to bring either a printed Eventbrite ticket, or show the app on your phone. We realize that your check in bar might be different than your friends’. This is really just the easiest way to do it, so you can meet up with them after you check in, the bars are very close together. You won’t be able to check in at a bar that isn’t assigned to you.

“A – G” – Durty Nelly’s – 108 Blackstone Street. (easiest way in is the back door and to head up the stairs, we’ll be on the 2nd floor)

IMG_4617[1]Once you register you will get a special wristband. You’ll need this wristband for access to all 14 bars on the crawl. We have 4 different time slots with 3 bars at each slot. You will get the schedule at which bars to be at during our scheduled times. During these time slots, the bars will only accept people with the wristbands. Some bars will be letting people in without wristbands but will be charging an additional cover to enter and drink specials won’t apply.

We will have about 50 total tickets available for day of sales for wristbands only for $30 which will get you access to all of the bars and drink specials. These are on a first come, first serve basis. EXACT CHANGE ONLY. They can be purchased at either The Point, The Living Room or Durty Nelly’s beginning at 12:00. We will not be selling wristbands prior to 12:00, no exceptions, even though there will be bar crawl staff setting up.

Bar schedule:

You will receive the entire schedule when you register. We have 14 total bars participating.

Remember to drink responsibly.

We’re very much looking forward to seeing you on Saturday. Tickets still available.

CRAWL TODAY!

Posted on Updated on

Hello Crawlers!

The Valentine’s Crawl is TODAY. I hope you’ve found your perfect Valentine’s outfit and are raring to crawl with us. I just have a few reminders/orders of business to ensure everything goes smoothly and everyone has a fantastic time.

1.) Holiday themed attire isn’t required but are highly encouraged. Please wear pink, red or black.

2.) You don’t need to show up to the first bar to join the crawl. We may run out of koozies (limited to 1,100) but you’re welcome to join at any point during the event.

We will have staff at each of the 12:30 and 2:30 bars. Things get a but crazy come mid-afternoon. Last year we had trouble getting into some of the bars. So we’ll be consolidating our effforts for the 4:30 and later bars. If you’d still like to register then, we’ll be all over facebook and twitter with our locations. We will be wearing shirts that read “BAR CRAWL STAFF” on front. We’ll also all be wearing red light up necklaces and pins. We’re hoping it’s going to be easy to spot us.

3.) PLEASE come with the exact amount that you would like to give for your donation. We know it may be a pain, but it really keeps things moving if we don’t have to find/make change.  And if we don’t have change, you’ll have to break your $20 yourself and come back through the line. If you haven’t, take a minute to look at the website for our charity: The Hattie B Cooper Community Center. It’s a great organization. As always, we thank our Crawlers for their extreme generosity!

4.) Thanks to our many, many dedicated crawlers, the turnouts have been huge. If we get the anticipated turnout like we did for Halloween and Christmas and the scheduled bar fills up, you can skip around the schedule.  For instance, Paddy O’s is on the schedule at 4:30, but they will be ready to welcome crawlers much earlier. The bars know we’re coming and will be prepared.  We just want to remind everyone to have a good time and be kind to the bar staff and your fellow crawlers. If you don’t get a chance to see us, you can always go to Hattie B Cooper Community Center. and make a donation there.

5.) Like I mentioned before, for updates check out Twitter or Facebook. We’ll be updating all day to let you know where we’re at.

6.) I’m going to say it again. PLEASE come with the exact amount you’d like to donate.

7.) It’s looking like snow so be extra careful

The SCHEDULE is here (as mentioned earlier, feel free to freelance and skip around as many bars may reach capacity early, you can always go back later)

In other news…please join us for Brahmin Social Sunday. We’re keeping the party going the next day.

And once again we’ve teamed up with Tenon Tours for their St. Patrick’s Day event on 3/10/12. Tickets on sale now.  Some bars close to selling out. Please select “Team Crawl In Boston”

Thanks, and hope to see you soon. Cheers!

The Koozies Have Arrived

Posted on Updated on

The koozies for Valentine’s Weekend have arrived.

They’re limited to 1,100 on a first come, first serve basis along with your donation to The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center. Last year we ran out of our 1,000+ koozies within the first hour of the Valentine’s Crawl

If you don’t want to take any chances, we’ll be giving them out on Friday night as well at the dress to impress Traffic Jam party presented by our friends at Socialete.

And on Sunday we keep the party going with Brahmin Social Sunday. We’re bringing brunch day parties to Boston. It’s an unique experience that you won’t want to miss. And of course we’ll have more free giveaways for everyone.

PS – Once again we’ve teamed up with Tenon Tours for their St. Patrick’s Day event on 3/10/12. Tickets on sale now. Get them before they sell out.

People of all ages have gathered to join the bar crawls, and we’ve raised money  for local charities. We also spread the word about other similar events we’ve heard about, as well as new places and bar/restaurant specials. We’re bringing people together, one drink at a time for local charities

What is the Hattie B. Cooper Community Center?

The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center has served Greater Roxbury and surrounding neighborhoods for over 93 years, providing underserved children and their families vital educational services that facilitate growth and development, and creating groundwork for future successes.

What does this event cost?

We are asking for $5.00 to attend. Please keep in mind that proceeds of your donation supports The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center
Everyone who donates will be receiving:

*Crawl in Boston Nametag
*Crawl in Boston Beverage Koozie (LIMITED TO FIRST 1,100)
*Crawl in Boston Wristband – To guarantee drink specials and no covers

Crawl in Boston wants to provide you with as much fun as possible for as little as possible! – Crawlers are responsible for their own drinks.

Pictures from some of our past events can be found here

How Do I Sign Up?

We don’t have official registration. We only ask you RSVP on the Facebook event ASAP. This gives us a better idea on how many people are coming. We can better arrange our schedule so the bars have enough staff to accommodate you all. Also helps let us know how many koozies to order.

What to wear?

Please wear something red, pink or black to keep in the holiday spirit. If you want to dress as cupid, that’s more than encouraged.

What’s the schedule? TBA. Keep checking!
