Valentine Crawl Update

Posted on Updated on

Hey Crawlers,

We are very close to the Valentine Crawl presented by Crawl In Boston and Social Boston Sports. We’re looking forward to some great memories and new friends this weekend.

We have 500 koozies and 1,200 nametags. We’ll have stations set up at each bar where you can get your goodies and make your $5 (or more!) donation to Julie’s Family Charity. Your donations mean so much, and we’re so appreciative of how generous our Crawlers are. We will have very limited change available so please have the exact amount of money you want to donate available. We do get plauged by the ATM curse, especially at the first bar, and we may not have change. The majority of the bars will be providing food so make sure you snack–it’s a long day!

Make sure you check out our partners at Social Boston Sports. SBS is your community for awesome Boston events. www.socialbostonsports.com

Keep an eye out for our official Crawl In Boston photographer, Missy. Missy is volunteering her time to help out with the event. You can visit her at www.missysportsphotography.com

Massachusetts Singles Magazine will have their BARHOPPERS video crew on hand tomorrow. http://msmtvbarhoppers.blip.tv/

Looking forward to seeing you and your awesome Valentine’s outfits!

Valentine Crawl – 2/13/2010

Posted on Updated on

Valentine's Day Crawl

It’s 2010 and we’re looking forward to be bringing you the Valentine Crawl, our most popular event of the year.

Here’s some good information to know:

Who is Crawl in Boston?

Crawl in Boston is a social networking group that gives professionals a chance to meet new people in a casual and fun atmosphere. People of all ages have gathered to join the bar crawls, and we’ve raised money and goods for local charities. We also spread the word about other similar events we’ve heard about, as well as new places and bar/restaurant specials. We’re bringing people together, one drink at a time for local charities.

Social Boston Sports (SBS) is your community for awesome Boston events!  Whether it’s celebrating a big win in one of our recreational sports leagues, enjoying yourself on a weekend adventure away from the city, or partying with friends new and old at one of social events, SBS is bringing together fun, active, and social people in Boston.

Who are Julie’s Family?

Julie’s is a community-based family support and education program that is committed to the development of strong, healthy family functioning.

Julie’s breaks the cycle of poverty among low-income, at-risk families by providing services that enable mothers and their children to become healthy, responsible, successful at life, and economically self-sufficient members of their communities.

What does this event cost?

We are asking for $5.00 to attend. Please keep in mind that proceeds of your optional donation supports Julie’s Family Charity. Everyone who donates will be receiving:

*Crawl in Boston Nametag
*Crawl in Boston Beverage Koozie

*Multiple bars will also be providing free appetizers to donating crawlers

How Do I Sign Up?

You don’t have to. We only ask you RSVP on the Facebook event ASAP. This gives us a better idea on how many people are coming. We can better arrange our schedule so the bars have enough staff to accommodate you all. Also helps let us know how many koozies to order.

What to wear?

Please wear something red, pink or black to keep in the holiday spirit. If you want to dress as cupid, that’s more than encouraged.

Big Ten Bar CrawlThe 3rd Annual Big Ten Bar Crawl is almost here and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! The crawl starts at noon at DJs at the Garden (222 Friend St) and continues around the North Station area:

12-1:30 DJs at the Garden
1-2:30 Johnnie’s on the Side
2-3:30 The Harp
3-4:30 Hurricane O’Reilly’s
4-5:30+ The Greatest Bar

View a map of the route by clicking here:

There will be souvenir koozies available (while supplies last) for $3 each at DJs!

There is a Bruins game at The Garden at 7:00pm, so we will be colliding with some fan traffic at Greatest Bar. If Greatest Bar does fill to capacity, there are plenty of establishments nearby to go to until the Bruins crowd thins out. We expect there to be a Big Ten crowd at Greatest Bar until very late in the night.

Cupid?

With the Valentine’s Crawl a mere 5 weeks away, it’s time to start thinking about what to wear. Rules for this crawl is that you must wear red, pink or white. But perhaps going up another level and doing the cupid thing may be an option. See you soon -C.I.B.
