It’s 12 Bars of X-Mas Eve. We don’t care if you’ve been naughty or nice. We’re just excited to see you tomorrow! We have less than 10 tickets left online. We’ll have another handful available at the door tomorrow.
And now for my favorite song for this time for year
On the 1st day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
A frosty beer just for me.
On the 2nd day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Two friends a-laughing.
On the 3rd day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Three stout ales.
On the 4th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Four full glasses.
On the 5th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Fiiiiive Tasty Shots
On the 6th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Six bars a crawling
On the 7th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Seven drinks a-swilling.
On the 8th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Eight drunks a-singing.
On the 9th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Nine bowls a-scorpion.
On the 10th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Ten shots a-downing.
On the 11th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Eleven pints guzzling.
On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Twelve bars a crawling.

12 Bars of X-Mas Registration Info
We can’t wait to see you on Saturday for the 12 Bars of X-Mas.
We have a few points of order to help make the day as smooth as possible:
Registration opens at 12:00 sharp and ends at 3:00.
You will need to bring either a printed Eventbrite ticket or show the app on your phone. If you don’t have a paper ticket or the phone app, you can use your ID to pick up your ticket. Please be ready when you get to the top of the line. We’ll be checking in hundreds of crawlers and nobody wants to be stuck behind the person who doesn’t have any of their stuff ready. Only the ticket buyer needs to be present. If multiple tickets were bought, you’ll get all your goodies at once and you can pass on the extras to your friends.
Registration will be by last name by ticket buyer:
A – K – Kinsale – 2 Center Plaza
L – Z – Paddy O’s – 25 Union Street
We realize that you may be separated from friends at the beginning but we’ve found this is the quickest way to get everyone registered as quickly and painlessly as possible. Once we have you signed in, you’ll get your full schedule and you can meet your friends at any of our scheduled bars.
We will have around 20 tickets available for day of sales for $30. These are on a first come, first serve basis. EXACT CHANGE ONLY. They can be purchased at any of the above scheduled registration bars
Bar schedule:
You will receive the entire schedule when you register. We have 12 bars total. All the bars will be in the Faneuil Hall and Financial District areas. We are not releasing the schedule prior to the crawl, as we want to keep this event as exclusive as possible for your own comfort. Please note, the bars have the right to refuse entry to anyone due to bar capacity or personal incapacity. Also, you will need to show a valid license or ID to gain entry to each of the bars (this is the bars’ policy).
CASH IS KING
I know that bringing your card might be easy. But when tons of people are trying to order drinks, it takes a lot more time to open and close a tab than to pay with cash. Plus you’d be surprised about how many people forget to close their tabs at the end of the night and leave for home without their credit cards. There are multiple ATMs around Faneuil Hall…check one out. Also, remember to tip your bartenders!
Remember to drink responsibly and use public transportation. Don’t drink and drive!

MMHO: SBN Local Craft Brewfest
This past Friday, we attended the 6th SBN Local Craft Brewfest. The SBN (Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts) has a focus on local and sustainable businesses, so this is a festival you can feel good about attending. All the vendors are local to New England, and you can taste beers and ciders, as well as locally distilled spirits. They also have local musicians and food trucks, so it’s a great night out. We’ve attended this event in the past, and they made a few changes this time around. They moved the location from the relative splendor of the Moakley Courthouse to the slightly less aesthetically pleasing Cruiseport Boston, tucked further into the Seaport. However, it was easy to get to by the Silver Line, made even more so by an especially helpful driver (who knew?) who realized a majority of the people on the bus were headed to the festival, and dropped us off directly in front of the building. The space itself wasn’t bad, just not as nice a view as the courthouse has. The set up was still nicely laid out, not too crowded and plenty of room. We splurged and went for the VIP tickets, which allowed for early access, vouchers for the food trucks, and a gift bag on the way out, which was filled with tchotchkes from various vendors, including Sam Adams pint glasses, bottle openers, and a ton of Kind Bars. The event itself was amazing. It was busy but not so crowded you had to wait in huge lines, and it was possible to actually chat with the vendors and learn about their products. A word of warning, there are a lot of distilleries with liquor tastings, so we recommend eating something before you get there—you get small tastings, but they can add up! Due to the relaxed nature, and getting to spend time with the vendors, we got a lot of ideas for some Thanksgiving and holiday cocktails. For instance, we chatted with Lonnie from GrandTen Distillery about making a Cranberry Manhattan, which uses their Craneberry liquor as a float on the classic drink. There were also samples of local food, and a few food trucks with food for purchase. Overall, we would recommend checking out SBN’s next Local Craft Brewfest, and check out their website for their other upcoming events
Regular tickets now sold out for 12 Bars of X-Mas. We’re down to our Last Call batch. 12 Bars of X-Mas. Ticket includes $3 or less drink at each bar, Beverage Mitt, Winter Pom Hat, Santa Socks, Koozie, Drawstring Backpack, Candy Cane, Temporary Tattoos, Photo Booth and No Covers at Scheduled Bars.

Friendsgiving
Team Crawl in Boston has been having Friendsgiving for several years
now. The tradition started for us a few years ago when one friend wanted to deep fry a turkey, so once a fryer was procured, the game was on. Throughout the years, some things have changed, some things have stayed the same, but it’s always a fun and festive time to have some holiday cheer with our friends. Below we’ll provide a list of our favorite Friendsgiving tips and traditions that you can incorporate into your own affair.
1.) The Main Course – Since our Friendsgiving tradition started with the desire to try a deep fried turkey, we’ve always had a special sort of bird for the main course. Friendsgiving is a great time to try something different, since most families have particular traditions for the “real” Thanksgiving feast. Once we moved locations from the wilds of Somerville to the tony slopes of Beacon Hill, we had to trade the fried turkey for something less flammable but just as delicious: turducken. This trifecta of poultry delight is something to be tried at least once. We recommend ordering a frozen one (already deboned and stuffed) from www.cajungrocers.com. They ship it to your door, so all you have to do is defrost and stick it in the oven. It comes out moist and delicious.

2.) Organization – This is a great time to utilize Google Docs. We have done this previously, where each side was listed for people to sign up to bring a dish of their choosing. However, somehow this year we decided to rely on people replying with what they’d bring on a Facebook invite, and nearly ended up with the turducken, four desserts and five different types of bread. After a quick intervention we managed to account for all the appropriate sides, but save yourself the trouble and go the Google doc route from the get go.
3.) Fun and Games – One of our great Friendsgiving traditions started with a particular couple. On the first Friendsgiving, they brought a long a game for everyone to play, and the tradition has lived on ever since. It’s always a variation of the same basic premise. The group divides into teams, and are given a sheaf of papers with pictures of pop culture figures, politicians, sports figures, tv or movie characters, etc. Each team has to guess as many pictures as they can within a time limit. Throughout the year there have been various additions, penalties, etc. This year, each team had to finish a 40 before beginning to guess. We could also ask the game creators for hints (after taking down a shot).
As the saying goes, your friends are the family you choose, so it’s a great idea to celebrate a pre-holiday with them. It’s a little more chill and relaxed than a full-blown family affair, and you won’t have your Great-Auntie asking when you’re getting married.
2 weeks from tomorrow until we’re back for the 12 Bars of X-Mas. Ticket includes $3 or less drink at each bar, Beverage Mitt, Winter Pom Hat, Santa Socks, Koozie, Drawstring Backpack, Candy Cane, Temporary Tattoos, Photo Booth and No Covers at Scheduled Bars. We predict that we’ll sell out of our regular tickets on late Monday or early Tuesday.

2 weeks until Thanksgiving
Someone told me that we’re only 2 weeks from Thanksgiving. Where does the time go? Wasn’t it in the 70’s last week? Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited about some days of filled with family, friends, food and probably some beverages. It just still felt around a month away.
The hats arrived today to go along with the socks. Backpacks are scheduled to be delivered this weekend.

All of our bars have confirmed to us that they’ll be ready with plenty of staff on hand during their scheduled spots.
