FAQ:

Who is Crawl in Boston?

Crawl in Boston is a social networking group that gives professionals a chance to meet new people in a casual and fun atmosphere. People of all ages have gathered to join the bar crawls, and we’ve raised money and goods for local charities. We also spread the word about other similar events we’ve heard about, as well as new places and bar/restaurant specials. We’re bringing people together, one drink at a time for local charities.

Who is Jumpstart?

Jumpstart is a national early education organization founded in 1993.  Its yearlong literacy programs have served more than 75,000 preschool children, and its national awareness campaigns have reached millions.  Jumpstart helps children succeed not just in school, but also in life.  For more information, visit www.jstart.org.

What does this event cost?

We are asking for $5.00 to attend. Please keep in mind that proceeds of your optional donation will go towards the Jumpstart charity. Thanks to sponsors however, you will also be getting a bunch of other stuff including:

*Crawl in Boston Nametag
*Crawl in Boston Beverage Koozie
*Map of Crawl in Boston Route

We will also be holding contests throughout the day including:

*Best “Birthday Suit” (creativity counts),  Crawl in Boston Dance-Off & Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Donkey

(More contests TBA)

Winners will receive Crawl in Boston trophies,  medals and a “Pimp Cup”

How Do I Sign Up?

You don’t have to. We only ask you RSVP on the Facebook event ASAP. This gives us a better idea on how many people are coming. We can better arrange our schedule so the bars have enough staff to accommodate you all. Also helps let us know how many koozies and hats to order.

What’s the Schedule?

The schedule will be posted as the event gets closer. The finalized schedule will be printed on nametags and the route map. Schedule and details are subject to change without prior notice.

What is Beer Summit? The Boston Beer Summit is an annual sampling event that brings over 50 of the worlds best brewers, with over 200 different beers to the Park Plaza Castle in Boston. We have great music, great beer, and a great time on Marathon weekend in April.

Wine Riot! will expand attendees’ wine knowledge through a printed wine guide, mobile technology, free mini-seminars, and forty fantastic exhibitors.

More wine knowledge will be dropped during free Crash Courses Seminars hosted by sponsors throughout the Riot! sessions, dishing in-depth explanations of specific grapes, regions, and growing trends. Rioters can stop in for complimentary guided tastings and head back to the main floor equipped with stellar tips and know-how to help them face any wine list, party or store.

Tickets are now on sale and will soon be available in wines stores around Boston.

Pirate Scavenger Hunt

This Saturday, there’s a pirate themed scavenger hunt around Boston called Midnight Madness. The event raises money for Best Buddies MA, which helps people with intellectual disabilities make friends and find jobs all over MA.

Each team gets a scavenger hunt list and then walks around the city, solving riddles and completing tasks to win points. The items on the list are really fun, like “duct tape your teammate to a wall,” or “stage a kung fu fight in a chinese food restaurant.”

The team with the most points wins the grand prize. At the end of the night, all the teams meet up at Tommy Doyle’s for drinks.

If you and your friends, old roommates, running buddies, coworkers, camp friends, kickball teammates, etc. are interested in signing up a team, check out www.themidnightmadness.com

I think it’s a $15 to register which includes your entrance into Tommy Doyle’s.
